Greetings!Our third philosophy study abroad trip is scheduled for this summer 2009, and we're excited that you're interested in going with us. The more students that go- the more fun it is! Join Prof. Don Morse in Vienna this summer in two great courses:Revolution in Philosophy and Vienna's Coffeehouse Culture(PHIL 2080) 3 cr. hrsMay 18, 2009- June 12, 2009 (4-week)Students travel around to Vienna's famous coffeehouses as they learn about the great thinkers, artists, and scientists who flourished there and shaped the modern world.Philosophy of Art(PHIL 3120 or ARHS 2350) 3 cr. hrsMay 18, 2009- July 10, 2009 (8-week)Students explore the nature of art in its various forms,including architecture, painting, music, dance, and poetry. We make special use of Vienna’s world class art museums and galleries in order to appreciate more concretely the way that art shapes our world and gives meaning to our lives.
